The Spanish branch of Solarwatt, a German manufacturer of solar panels and energy storage systems, submitted its first report on the “Spanish Residential Photovoltaic Self-Consumption Observatory” last week. This report is a well-researched report by the Análisis e Investigación (Grupo AiE) on the photovoltaic store in Spain.
The report interviewed about 750 single-family homeowners in urban neighborhoods with a population of more than 25,000. There are more than 5.7 million single-family homes in Spain, and 2 million of them are attributed to this study, covering 70% of the population of the self-consumption.
According to the survey results, 47.6% of the respondents were not interested in the installation roof PV system. Participants thought that part of the reason was the lack of institutional and business information (because no one would be interested in unwitting solutions). At the same time, they also pointed out that the instability of legislation, the lack of reference materials, the expiration of anxiety, and the durability of the system and the difficulty of the process of the installation are also one of the reasons.
Researchers believe that if you want to convince people who are not interested, it is important to raise their awareness of photovoltaic energy. Because these people may be critical of this, especially in the power of self-production and self-use bias.
Grupo AiE believes that "all these challenges and fears can be overcome through communication and education." The main challenge in the future is economic, as people think that the price of the photovoltaic system is still too high.
However, 27% of respondents are being promoted by saving electricity and environmental awareness, indicating that they are willing to add some expenses to help curb climate change. 16.4% of respondents indicated that they will assess the device status of the self-consumption system in the short or medium term, while 23.7% of the respondents indicated that they will install the system in the short term. This is expected. Spain will have about 328,000 single-family homes in the next three years, perhaps installing a self-consumption system.
These potential producers can install about 1.5 GW of capacity and contribute 300 million euros in GDP. It is estimated to bring about 8,000 new professional jobs: engineering staff, electricians, installers, auxiliary industrial workers, maintenance or business people.
It is estimated that there are currently about 10,000 homes in Spain that are self-funded, compared to 1.6 million in Germany and 800,000 in the UK.
We are a national key high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales and service, specializing in the production of MPPT controllers, inverters, UPS, solar energy, wind energy and other energy power products. The main products include industrial grade MPPT solar controllers, solar inverters, solar power systems, UPS and other energy products. It is a leading manufacturer of MPPT controllers in China.
